How far in advance should I book my bridal makeup artist? It is never too early to book your bridal glam team. In the past, I have been booked up to two years in advance.
-
How do I book your services for my wedding? In order to secure your wedding date in my book, I require a completed contract and a $100 deposit which can be paid via cash, check, or Venmo. Please note your event is not saved in my appointment schedule until I receive both the deposit and signed contract.
-
What precautions are you taking during COVID-19?I sanitize all products and tools between clients. I also wear a face mask for the duration of all services and wash my hands between each client.
-
Is a bridal makeup trial required? No, a bridal makeup trial is not required in order to book your wedding day with me. It is suggested, however, because it gives us the chance to meet in person, build a rapport, and gives you the opportunity to communicate how you want to look and feel on your wedding day. It also gives you the chance to wear the makeup "in real life”, see how it feels and wears throughout the day etc and if you'd like to tweak anything for the wedding day, you can let me know.
-
How should I prepare for my bridal makeup trial?First and foremost, please have clean, makeup free skin. It is important that I am able to evaluate your natural face in order to choose appropriate products for the application. Also, if you have a wedding mood board, makeup inspiration photos, or even celebrity makeup photos that you love, those are helpful to get us on the same page about how you envision yourself on your wedding day. Lastly, please come with your hair neatly styled and if possible, wearing a white top. These things are important because they help you imagine how you could look on your wedding day.
-
How far do you travel?I travel throughout Long Island and New York City as well as the Tristate area and beyond, including destination weddings. Travel fees and accommodations will be discussed upon consultation.
-
My bridesmaids will also be getting their makeup done, do you work alone or do you have an assistant?"If the number of persons requesting makeup services on the wedding day exceeds 6, a second makeup artist may be required. This will be decided upon confirming photographer arrival time which will dictate the makeup schedule. There is no extra fee for a second artist.
-
Do you provide a schedule for the wedding morning?Yes! I provide a schedule of services and artists to client and/or wedding coordinator one week out from your wedding day to ensure all bridal party members are aware of their service time.
-
How do I prepare for my face for my wedding makeup? One week prior, make sure that you are consistent with your skincare regimen by cleansing and moisturizing, day and night. Drink plenty of water. Use a gentle exfoliator on your skin twice a week. Clean up your brow shape by either tweezing, or having them professionally waxed or threaded. Do not use any harsh exfoliants or chemical peels one month before.
-
What happens if I have to reschedule my wedding due to pandemic/government mandates? In the event of a Covid related rescheduling beyond your control, I will do my best to make your new date work and transfer your deposit to the new date. If I am unable to accommodate your new date, your deposit will be returned.
